Wild Habitat and Distribution:
The Flowerpot Snake is the most widespread species of snake. This tiny harmless and parthenogenetic snake is found in 4 continents. It is native to Africa and Asia but has been introduced to and settled in other parts of the world by hitching a ride in flower pot soil due to international plant trading. It is now common in Australia and America.
A small tank (plastic/glass fish tank will do) with a heat mat underneath a 1/4 of the bottom.
Substrate used can be normal compost soil from any gardening centre, you can add some sort foilage (live or artificial)
The flowerpot Snakes diet includes small food items such as ant and termite eggs and larvae.
A water dish can be provided, but dont be too shocked if you never witness it drinking, as they are tiny and live in the soil, they obtain all their water requirements from the food they eat.
